I need to amuse myself. The latest [livejournal.com profile] b2mem prompt is about Beleg, but my Beleg muse is otherwise occupied.

So I am stealing a meme from [livejournal.com profile] huinare. It goes like this:

1) Make a list of fifteen characters first, and keep it to yourself for the moment.

2) Ask your f-list to post questions in the comments. For example: "One, nine, and fifteen are chosen by a prophecy to save the world from four. Do they succeed?", "Under what circumstances might five and fourteen fall in love?", "Which character on the list would you most want on your side in a zombie invasion?"

3) After your f-list has stopped asking questions, round them up and answer them using the fifteen characters you selected beforehand, then post them.

Wow, I think it has been at least five years since I did a meme! Anybody want to ask me anything?

One has fallen down a mineshaft. Two, nine, and fifteen have to rescue him/her, but twelve is the only one with some rope and is very stingy. (It doesn't have to take place in the Old West, of course.)

Well, perhaps, Angband can count as "the Old West", technically (only if this turns out to be about Tolkien characters, of course)? I bet there are many mineshafts there, too. But actually, I am writing this comment to say that I like the situation you came up with.

All fifteen characters are Tolkien, and First Age.

I am afraid I have not set my answer in Angband, though...

Very good - this should really be great fun, whether set in Angband or not. (It's so good to have you back).

1.) 3, 6, 8, and 11 are forced to be roommates. Who commits the first attempted murder, and who is the victim?

2.) 2, 5, and 9 have to go back in time and prevent something terrible happening: are they supposed to kill 4, or save them?

3) 1 walks in on 13 and 7 having sex. What's their reaction?

(Hope this one's not too specific, my brain's been on a random weirdness kick lately...)

3 and 10 are at the opera. 3 wants to leave--why? 10 says (in jest? in dire seriousness?) that it's not over until the fat lady sings. 14 comes onstage to sing, just on time to hear and take some sort of umbrage to 10's remark. What ensues?

Yay! *happy dance* I always enjoyed your story memes, and this sounds like so much fun. Here we go:

6, 10 and 13 relax at a public bathhouse together, only to discover that their clothes have been stolen. What is their immediate reaction - and what will they do once they have found out that 2 is the culprit?

Two, six and twelve take sensible and rational actions that avert their dooms (if they are First Age Tolkien characters obviously they are doomed).
