A very Swiss update

Went hiking again today. The ski resort where my hike ended was having an Alpine music festival. The last gondola down (a big car, with a capacity of 45 people) contained more yodelers than non-yodelers. The ride lasted six minutes, and the Chur Yodeling Club gave us an impromptu concert. You haven't really heard yodeling until you've heard it in a small enclosed space that is falling down a mountain, with the main soloist's mouth 10cm from your ear. (Actually, it's a much more pleasant and diverse musical genre than most people realize.)

Also, I found out where blueberry yoghurt comes from: I saw *a lot* of cows munching on the flora in a blueberry field.

I am jellos. It sounds like a lovely day, and it ended with a bang.

Did you touch one of the cows yet? And where are photos?

Photos are in a locked entry available only to people I like. And no, no cow-touching yet.

*snort* You're so silly.

Hee, so you've been exposed to Swiss Folk music from very near! *g* I'm not especially fond of yodeling, but I like our folk music a lot.
Where exactly did you hike today? *nosy* I hope you had nice weather - in Zürich it was rather cloudy and much more wind than yesterday!

I was up near Dreibundenstein, above Chur. The weather was OK, but not as nice as before: lots of clouds and fog, so not much of a view.

It sounds like an interesting experience, at least. ;) And yay for your blueberry yoghurt theory - it will certainly revolutionise science.

I think scientists ALREADY KNOW. They're just keeping the knowledge from us, because they fear we could not handle the truth. Tricky scientists.

Hollerädulijööö!!!

I'm sure if you live in Switzerland long enough, you're gonna get your own yodel diploma one of these days.

Sorry, I just realized this video is unavalable. :-(

What, no Loriot online? :(

Sadly, no. I guess it had to be removed for copyright reasons.

I think it's a requirement for citizenship. Of course, the application process takes 97 years.

Hi!!!! by the way.

I don't know if blueberry-eating cows produce blueberry-flavored milk - but I do know that cows who eat onions produce onion-flavored milk! Of course, no one partucularly wants onion-flavored milk, which is a bit of a drag for the poor farmer...
