tehta: (not celandine)
So, here I am checking my LJ after yet another period of neglect, all full of good intentions about POSTING MOAR and getting back into writing, and what do I see? A couple of people returning after neglectful periods of their own, a couple of people welcoming back long-lost muses... The mood of the day seems to be hope, and so I am a little hopeful that perhaps this time I can succeed in re-entering the online world.

As to why I was neglectful: well, there was the usual work overload, and then I went to Turin with my parents, and then... I went to Hanover, where I met up with [livejournal.com profile] dagmarjung. We had a wonderful time -- she is a great hostess -- and it was all a very sharp reminder of the Days of Yore, when I was more active online, and when I wrote. Also, she showed me a lot of her sketches (I am sure everyone knows that she is a genius artist) and some of the unfinished ones prompted me to start shipping Glorfindel and Ecthelion.

Anyway, I am traveling again next week, but I will try very hard to cut out some time for writing (actually, I have already been doing so -- I have a couple of regaining-my-skills snippets in the works), and I will almost certainly write some more LJ entries. I have photos, and ideas as to how to "develop my writing", and many useless opinions on things. So, er, be forewarned.

And now, back to Dagmar. I promised to write her something as a thank you. I will try to come up with something more substantial later, but for now... this was supposed to be a series of three drabbles, but Part One ran away with me. Anyway, Dagmar, I think you will recognize this scene.

Click for a silly ficlet! Dagmar asked for Legolas/Gimli, or maybe hobbits. This scared me, so I asked one of my Usual Suspects for help. )

next up: Hildor.
